At EDUCAUSE 2026, D2L is set to showcase how thoughtful AI can reduce friction and create more space for the human interactions that make learning meaningful.
Integrated directly within D2L Brightspace, D2L Lumi Assistant is a beta AI-enhanced experience that provides a conversational interface designed to simplify complex, multi-step tasks. It helps educators and course administrators review learner information and identify opportunities for additional support, update and audit courses, answer common operational questions, and support bulk updates and cross-course reviews. D2L Lumi Assistant is designed to help educators work more efficiently while keeping humans in control by requiring explicit approval before an action is completed.
