EZ Control closes the loop between the state an enterprise intends and the state its cloud is actually in, whether that intent is written as infrastructure code, a rule in a cloud security posture management tool, a policy-as-code repository or a guardrail set within the cloud provider itself. It detects divergence continuously, decides the correct response under policy, and executes the remediation itself.
Enterprises have standardized on IaC, but code only describes what teams intended to deploy. Everything that happens outside that workflow, including ClickOps, break-glass fixes, automated pipelines and, increasingly, AI agents provisioning infrastructure at machine speed, creates resources that legacy IaC tools never see. The result is a widening gap between intended and actual cloud state, governed by a review process built for human-paced change that can no longer keep up.
The industry's answer so far has been more detection: another dashboard, another alert queue, another report of what drifted overnight. Detection alone leaves the hardest part, deciding what to do and safely doing it, to an engineer who must reassemble ownership, blast radius and policy context by hand, every time. The bottleneck in cloud operations is no longer knowing. It is acting.
EZ Control delivers on the March 2026 merger of env zero and CloudQuery, bringing asset intelligence and governed automation into one control plane. It continuously discovers cloud and SaaS resources through more than 80 integrations, reconciles what is actually running against what code declared, and structures the result into a single context layer.
That layer rests on the broadest cloud asset inventory coverage in its class: nearly 2,300 resource types across Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes, reaching corners of the estate that inventory tools built around a few dozen popular services never see.
EZ Control structures that coverage into a continuously-synced ontology. Every resource is linked to the code that declared it, the team that owns it, the cost it carries, the resources that depend on it, the policies that apply to it and the risks and insights attached to it. That is what makes autonomy safe: the system can act on a resource without a human assembling the picture first.
Drift from code is only one kind of divergence. EZ Control ingests policy from wherever an enterprise already keeps it and enforces all of it against the same ontology. A resource that has drifted from its module, a database that has fallen out of a compliance benchmark, an instance oversized against its cost policy, a cluster overdue for patching and a workload running outside its availability requirements are the same problem to EZ Control: a gap between intended and actual state, with an owner, a policy behind it and a remediation path in front of it. Security, availability, maintenance, cost and performance are governed in one loop instead of five tools that do not talk to each other.

Autonomy is set by policy, not by product tier. Teams decide how far EZ Control may go for each class of resource: observe only, propose a fix, act with approval, or act autonomously within defined guardrails. Within those limits, EZ Control corrects unintentional drift by reapplying IaC, captures intentional changes as a pull request against the owning repository, and flags defects in the source code for correction. Where the violation is of a security, cost, availability, maintenance or performance policy rather than of code, it applies the remediation that the owning policy defines. Every action follows the repository and review process that owns the resource, and a post-fix scan verifies closure. Autonomy is therefore always attributable, reversible and auditable. It also applies to machines: because every change runs through EZ Control, the policies, approvals and audit trail that govern human engineers govern AI agents too, with no need to hand automated systems raw cloud credentials.

EZ Control is available through an Early Access program and is delivered as SaaS. Initial connection is agentless and read-only, the observe-only level of autonomy, allowing organizations to begin discovering resources and governance gaps before granting EZ Control the authority to act.
