RESTON, Va., Sept. 21, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AIAA is pleased to announce its newly elected Class of 2027 Associate Fellows. The Institute will formally honor the class at the AIAA Associate Fellows Induction Ceremony and Dinner, Wednesday, 13 January 2027, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando during AIAA SciTech Forum 2027, 11–15 January 2027, Orlando, Florida.

“Congratulations to each member of the Class of 2027 Associate Fellows,” said AIAA President Keoki Jackson. “This distinguished group has advanced the state of science and technology in aeronautics and astronautics, breaking some of our industry’s most challenging barriers along the way. Their sustained excellence and technical leadership reflect the caliber of talent shaping the future of aerospace. We are proud to recognize their achievements and their impact on aerospace.”

The Class of 2027 AIAA Associate Fellows represent 50 AIAA sections in all seven AIAA regions. They come from 7 countries and 42 U.S. states.

The grade of Associate Fellow recognizes individuals “who have accomplished or been in charge of important engineering or scientific work, or who have done original work of outstanding merit, or who have otherwise made outstanding contributions to the arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics.” Only 17% of AIAA members are ever selected for this grade. To be selected, an individual must be an AIAA Senior Member in good standing, with at least 12 years of professional experience, and be recommended by three AIAA members.
