The Publicity Department of the CPC Xinxiang Municipal Committee noted that Xinxiang lies in the heart of China's Central Plains, with the Taihang Mountains to the north and the Yellow River to the south.
Here, rugged grandeur meets serene beauty, and ancient traditions blend with contemporary life. With its striking landscapes and millennia of cultural heritage, the city offers a distinctive destination for exploring Chinese civilization and has been honored as "China's Best Eco-Friendly and Livable City."
"The Taihang Mountains have saved their most beautiful stretch for Henan, and Xinxiang's southern Taihang region is its crowning jewel," wrote Chinese National Geography magazine.
The Publicity Department introduced that at Baligou and Baoquan, sheer cliffs, rolling seas of clouds, and cascading waterfalls form breathtaking natural panoramas. The Guoliang Tunnel Road in the Wanxian Mountain Scenic Area, carved into a towering cliff face, has earned the reputation "the ninth wonder of the world." Guanshan National Geopark is known as a "museum of the Taihang Mountains," whose landscapes take on a different character with every season. These destinations draw visitors from China, South Korea and Southeast Asia, introducing the natural beauty of China's Central Plains.
In Xinxiang, stunning landscapes, ancient traditions, and the warmth of everyday life merge seamlessly. Guesthouses in the Taihang Mountains are popular with travelers at home and abroad. Intangible cultural heritage is passed down through generations, and authentic local dishes leave a lasting impression.
The Publicity Department added that Pangdonglai, the retail chain that has become a nationwide sensation, also has a well-established presence in Xinxiang. Chinese social media users have playfully dubbed it a "6A tourist attraction with no off-season." Consumers flock to its stores to experience a distinctly Chinese expression of hospitality and trust.
Xinxiang warmly welcomes visitors from around the world to explore the Taihang Mountains, discover the cultural legacy of Muye, and find a restorative escape amid China's landscapes and enduring traditions.
