ST. LOUIS and HINTON, West Virginia, Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PracticeLink today announced the continuation of its First Practice Fund, with applications for the Fall 2026 round open September 14 through November 13.
The First Practice Fund provides $2,500 awards to help medical students, residents, fellows and advanced practice providers manage expenses associated with training and preparing for their careers in patient care.
The fall round builds on the impact of Spring 2026, when PracticeLink awarded nine $2,500 scholarships to aspiring healthcare professionals across different specialties and stages of training. Recipients shared goals ranging from expanding access to care to serving rural and underserved communities.
“The journey to practice requires an extraordinary commitment of time, resources and perseverance,” said Charles Lowry, Director of GME Relations at PracticeLink. “The First Practice Fund allows us to recognize that commitment and provide support as future clinicians take the next steps in their careers.”
Applicants will be evaluated based on professionalism, interpersonal skills and clarity of career goals.
Eligible applicants must be enrolled in an accredited U.S.-based medical school, ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship program, or accredited advanced practice provider training program. Residents, fellows and APPs must be registered PracticeLink users and use the email associated with their PracticeLink account when applying.
