NEW YORK, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP represented National Healthcare Properties, Inc. (Nasdaq: NHP), a self-managed real estate investment trust focused on acquiring, owning, and investing in a diversified portfolio of health care real estate, in a series of senior housing acquisitions completed over the past three months.
Among the transactions was a senior housing operating portfolio (SHOP) acquisition valued at approximately $98 million. The transaction involved the acquisition of two senior housing communities in the Midwest comprising 211 units. According to National Healthcare Properties, the acquisition adds assisted living and memory care units to its predominantly needs-based SHOP portfolio. The communities will be managed by one of the company's existing operating partners.
In addition, Greenberg Traurig represented NHP in the acquisition of nine senior housing communities located in Florida, Oregon, Illinois, and Iowa. Collectively, the transactions expanded NHP's senior housing portfolio through the acquisition of communities totaling more than 780 units across multiple markets throughout the United States.
