SACRAMENTO, Calif., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Water Charitable Foundation, a philanthropic non-profit organization established by American Water (NYSE: AWK), the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., and California American Water announced that the Foundation has awarded a $20,000 STEM Education grant to Sacramento Children's Museum, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring learning through play and hands-on educational experiences for children and families throughout the Greater Sacramento region.

The STEM Education grant will support the museum's STEM programming, providing children with hands-on opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics through interactive exhibits, educational activities, and engaging learning experiences. The funding will help expand access to STEM education while fostering curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills among young learners.

STEM Education grants support programs that provide students with access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics learning opportunities and help build the workforce of tomorrow.
