The directory consolidates provider information from multiple sources and jurisdictions into a single searchable resource. It originally began as an Ontario-only tool with fewer than 1,000 listings before expanding nationally. “One of the challenges people can face when trying to access NIHB mental health counselling is simply figuring out who they can contact,” said Stuart Cameron, MSW, RSW. “The directory started as a way to make that process a little easier in Ontario, but as I continued building it, it became clear there was an opportunity to create something much more useful across Canada. The goal is simple: give people one place where they can search providers, narrow the options based on what they need, and make that first step toward finding support a little easier.”
