Nashville, TN, Aug. 25, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- C-Suite Stack, a digital communications firm that builds thought leadership for executives, today announced findings from its analysis of the 150 honorees named to LinkedIn's May 2026 and August 2026 US Top Voices cohorts. The central finding is a visibility gap measured against the market itself: the sectors that make up roughly a third of the S&P 500's value — industrials, energy, utilities, consumer staples and discretionary, materials, and real estate — produced 10 of the 150 honorees. Across LinkedIn's published topic tags for the full list, "Energy and utilities" appears once.

Key Findings
Executive Commentary
"Investors, employees, and policymakers increasingly form their view of a company through what its leaders say in public channels," said Prash Sabharwal, founder of C-Suite Stack. "Yet the sectors holding a third of the market's value produced one in fifteen of the voices LinkedIn recognized this year. For an industrial or energy executive, that gap is an opening: a consistent point of view in these sectors is not entering a crowded conversation. It is often starting one."
"The format finding should change how communications teams plan," Sabharwal added. "Teams default to long-form articles and newsletters because they feel executive-appropriate. LinkedIn's own editors picked a short-form post over an article 144 times out of 149. Short-form is where the conversation happens, and that is where leaders need to be. That is not a case against long-form; short-form simply gives leaders more shots on goal."
Methodology
C-Suite Stack analyzed all 150 honorees named in LinkedIn's May 2026 and August 2026 US Top Voices announcements. Findings describe these two cohorts and do not characterize prior Top Voices classes. Follower counts, topic tags, and exemplar posts are as published by LinkedIn in those announcements and reflect a point-in-time snapshot. Industry and role classifications are based on each honoree's stated position and employer, with manual review, and were cross-checked against LinkedIn's published topic tags. Sector weight comparisons use S&P 500 GICS sector weights as of August 2026. The Top Voices list is LinkedIn's editorial selection; findings describe who and what LinkedIn elevated in 2026, not what causes success on the platform.
